Anxiety about the working week officially starts at 4.13pm on a Sunday, a poll of 2,000 adults has found. The onset of the ‘Sunday blues’ – which is characterized by a mild sense of depression about the week ahead – begins half way through the afternoon, 4:13 pm and continues into the evening.“周日忧郁症”来袭! Four out of ten adults - 41 per cent - admit that their Sunday nights are full of d and anxiety, according to the poll by Premier Inn.Premier Inn酒店的民意测试显示,十个成年人中就有四个人(约41%)承认自己在周末晚上经常感到害怕和焦虑。The hotel chain found that Britons spend Monday to Friday looking forward to the weekend but on average start worrying about going back to work almost eight hours before the weekend technically ends. For one in ten people the sense of d is even worse. Premier found that for 10 per cent of people the Sunday blues begin at 10am on a Sunday.10%人群的焦虑症更严重。 Research in 2010 by Mind, the mental health charity, found that the recession has increased the sense of fear about returning to work.2010年,心理健康机构Mind调查发现,经济低靡会加剧人们对工作的恐惧感。Psychologists have said that a ways to counter the Sunday blues include having a busy schedule, doing exercise and being around other people. Many people polled by Premier Inn blamed the onset of Sunday blues on the fact that – despite looking forward to the weekend – they are bored. Almost half of the workers polled said that they would not feel so down on a Sunday evening if they had more to do at weekends. In addition, the research found that 44 per cent of people are jealous of their colleagues#39; weekends. Almost three quarters of people said that they often do not leave their house on a Sunday, while 46 per cent confess they rarely speak to anyone on the phone either.3/4的人表示周末一般不出门,而46%的人则承认自己很少跟人煲电话。More than a quarter said it is the dullest day because it is full of chores. The research by Premier Inn revealed one in five Brits - 20 per cent - say their weekends feel shorter after being treated to an extended break over the Queen#39;s Jubilee. Premier Inn spokesman Claire Haigh said: ;For many Brits Sundays are considered boring and many don#39;t even bother leaving their house, but it is important people make the most of their weekends.;Premier Inn酒店发言人克莱尔-黑格说:“许多英国人觉得周日很无聊,不愿出门。 Being engaged is all about going to cake tastings, being forced to have an opinion on centerpieces, and answering “how did you propose” about one billion times. Women expect to hear something romantic, like you swooped down on a flying unicorn and popped the question as you flew past the sunset. No one wants to hear that you asked her during halftime to order some more wings and/or marry you. Avoid looking like a completely douchebag by not proposing in any of the following ways. The Post-Pregnancy Proposal奉子求婚 Since it's not the 1950′s anymore and out-of-wedlock mothers aren't required to wear the scarlet letter, there's no reason to pop the question just because she's pregnant. Getting married won’t change the fact that a baby is coming and all your beer money is now going to be going into the diaper fund. Do the gentleman-like thing, ask for the kid to be named after you, write her a check for 18 years of child support, and get a vasectomy. 6. The During Her Marriage Proposal抢婚式求婚 Despite what Hollywood may tell you, brides do not want you barging into their wedding, stopping the vows, and proclaiming your love for them. And I’ll tell you what, there are extremely high odds that she will say no. So have some class and save the big, romantic movie gestures for moments when they're needed — such as when you ask your girlfriend to choose you over her wildly successful job. It sounds romantically-cliche to propose via an engagement ring hidden at the bottom of chocolate mousse. In reality, it's a subconscious death wish for your significant other. After all, if you were caught placing choke-able objects in someone's food in any other situation, you would be arrested for attempted murder. Going to a funeral naturally makes you freak out about your future. You're wondering if you've done anything worthwhile with your life besides that 9 minute keg stand junior year of college. But your mid-life crisis is no reason to reach out to last week's one-night stand and ask them to marry you. Instead of putting yourself on the fast track for a divorce, ask out the hottest girl at the funeral, and pray like hell you're not related. 3. The Public Proposal当众求婚 Deciding to get married is kind of a big deal. It's up there with deciding what you should do for a living and what secret file name you should hide your porn under. So why put your girlfriend on the spot by popping the question in front of family and friends? Odds are she won't want to say "let's talk about this later" in front of everyone. Instead you’ll get an awkward silence while she contemplates the question followed by a half-assed yes. 2. The Social Media Proposal社交媒体求婚 Just because everyone communicates in 140 characters or less these days doesn't mean that you should propose via Facebook status. Nothing says I'm too lazy to get offline like an e-mail with the subject line "will you marry me." And please don't think adding in a clever kissy smiley face will help matters at all. 1. The Valentine's Day Proposal情人节求婚 Isn't there enough going on with women carrying around carnations and adult men dressed as giant baby cupids? There's no need to add to the corniness of the holiday by throwing in a wedding proposal. The only exception to this cliche proposal is if you forget to get a gift and need to think of something in a hurry.

When it comes to vegetables, one method of cooking definitely does not fit all. For example, carrots can pretty much stand up to any style of cooking, but boil them, and you'll want to run in the opposite direction. Brussels sprouts, the scourge of nursery school students everywhere, are most delicious pan-roasted, but steam them, and you'll wind up with something you'd probably not want to feed to the pooch. Here's a short list of what to cook, and how. CabbageSlice, panfry, or sauté in olive or sesame oil with a tablespoon of butter.1.

SEX sells, and the newly formed Australian Sex Party knows it.That's why, even with what seem to be sensible policies rooted in a desire to make sexuality and discussions about it less touchy subjects, the party has chosen a name that stands out from the traditional ballot paper line-up.The party, with the slogan "we're serious about sex", launches at Melbourne Sexpo on November 20th and party convenor Fiona Patten is confident it will gain the 500 members required to register and contest state Upper House and Senate seats.Ms Patten, who is also the chief executive of the Eros Association - representing the adult retail and entertainment industry, said she and others were concerned about the Government's proposed internet filter, which is being tested over summer on about 10,000 sites to block "unwanted content"."This really came out of 20 years of lobbying on sex and censorship and then... the latest being the compulsory internet filter, which will ... prohibit and blacklist adult material that is currently legal in magazines, books and film," she said."When we started talking about the Australian Sex Party, we realised that sex is a lot broader than just censorship and a lot of the policies are a lot broader."Also on the party's list of policies, to be announced at the launch, is a national sex education school curriculum."With the internet and the fear that children are being sexualised at an early age, the first key action on that will be sex education," Ms Patten said."Other countries such as the UK are introducing a national curriculum and we think we should follow that."The party would also look to overturn rules under which overseas aid was not given to health clinics that were pro-choice, she said. The party's provocative and potentially alienating name was a decision the group wrestled with, Ms Patten said."We felt that - sex in a crowded room - now we've got your attention. It's half the problem with politicians, because they still giggle when they say the word sex, and that's why we have such idiotic policies at state and federal levels," she said."Let's try and own that word on most government forms."Ms Patten said there had aly been a lot of interest from potential members."We'll probably have our 500 members by the time we launch on Thursday. But there's four million customers of adult shops in Australia."She also hoped the 1000 or so adult shops around the country would become Sex Party branches."Hopefully we'll get their attention with the word but then we may be able to help influence some reasonably sensible policies." Student Rhiannon Brooksbank-Jones dreams of living and working in South Korea once she finishes university, even though she has never visited the country. But while taking language lessons, the 19-year-old found that she couldn't pronounce certain crucial sounds in the Korean alphabet. Her dentist suggested it may be because she was born with a slightly shorter than average tongue, caused by having an unusually thick lingual frenulum - the flap of skin that joins the underside of the tongue to the floor of the mouth. After discussing the matter with her parents and language tutor, Rhiannon decided to undergo an operation to correct the condition, despite the fact it has never caused her any problems in speaking English. She underwent a lingual frenectomy, which involves making an incision in the flap of skin. As a result, Rhiannon's tongue is now about 1cm longer, and she can say words that were impossible before. Rhiannon, of Beeston, Nottingham, said: 'I'd been learning Korean for about two years, and my speaking level is now high, but I was really struggling with particular sounds.' It became apparent after a little while that I was having trouble with the Korean letter 'L', which is very frequent and comes from a slightly higher place in the mouth than the English 'L', and that my tongue was too short.' My pronunciation was very 'foreign', but now I can speak with a native Korean accent. The surgical procedure was my only option. It's not like you can stretch your tongue otherwise. I just decided enough was enough.' For me it was an important thing, because I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and if I can't do it perfectly, it really irritates me. Rhiannon is currently awaiting her A-level results, and hoping to study Korean Studies and Business Management at the University of Sheffield. The four-year course includes a year at Yonsei University in the South Korean capital, Seoul. She added: 'I think this will show real dedication. It will prove I'm not just going to drop out after a year.' In Korea they like good students, and I think having my tongue lengthened will be a real help with the course, especially during my year in Seoul.' Native English speakers can earn quite a lot of money in Korea, so that's another option.' Rhiannon became interested in the Asian nation's culture through a friend at school. The teenager said: 'She was into Korean pop and television programmes, which I would listen to and watch at her house.' Most of my free time was soon taken up with Korean things. Now I visit a Korean Church in Nottingham, where I do bible ings in Korean, and can't wait to visit the country itself. Rhiannon's mother, Fiona Brooksbank-Jones, 56, said she supported her daughter in undergoing the procedure. She added: 'As her parents, we welcome her interest in other parts of the world, and are very proud of her.' I've heard of people having the condition corrected as babies, but never later in life. But we looked into it, and have backed her all the way.' When she sets her mind to something, she usually goes for it wholeheartedly, and this was no different.'
